They feed at night.

One fun fact that I learned while getting my degree in Oceanography from Humboldt State University was that crabs feed at night.  I had to collect baby crabs so I put out nets daily off the pier in Trinidad. After weeks of being laughed at by the local crabbers, one old timer told me that crabs only feed at night. That night I caught thousands of baby crabs for my research. Why baby crabs?
