Wow. What a summer. I have been dealing with an infection (the doctors think) in my left hand and so I have not been shucking much lately. My volunteer army has stepped up big time. I hope to be better soon as I miss the events.
So what have I been doing? I am working on taking some weight off. This has led me to a diet of raw and cooked vegetables, fresh fruit and protein shakes. I am working occasionally on the web site and the administrative said of the business.
I am often heard saying that the company does not have a brick and mortar shop. Over the 4th of July holiday I received numerous phone calls on where the restaurant is and can we come by and get oysters. I have run a retail shop in my past and the problem is you are personally tied to the shop. I like to travel to many different locations and serve oysters. For my followers let me say we will sell you oysters directly if we are buying product for parties that week, if you give me advance notice and if we can arrange to meet along my travels to and from the City or the events. Also I work with many local wineries where you can meet me (see schedule of public events on this web site).
So maybe you can help me as to where do I send people seeking oysters in the Santa Cruz and Los Gatos/San Jose areas? I welcome your input. Please tell me what it is about your recommendation that makes your place “good”.
